Does this really and truly work? I tried it a couple months ago, and did it for a couple weeks and quit. I feel so stuck in the past diet mentality and I feel like I've already set myself up for failing. I am fearful of losing weight for fear of just putting it back on, does that make sense to anyone? Anyways here are my main questions, for those who have been successful, do you do the finger tapping? do you listen to the cd? Or do you just follow the 4rules? Please, anybody who has advice, would LOVE to hear it. Thanks!

Yes, it does! I'm 46 yrs. old, female, 5'6" tall and perimenopausal. I've tried millions of diets to no avail. Most recentlhy the Atkins diet, which after 2 month I lost ZILCH.  I have been practicing Paul McKenna's suggested techniques now for 12 days. Weighed myself this morning and I'm down 9 lbs. from 204 to 195. I have a ways to go to reach my goal of 140, butr I've been happy with this WOE so far. I don't feel deprived as I've been eating all my favorite foods ~ chili dogs, fries, cheeseburgers, spaghetti, even a few bites of funnel cake at the local fair.  I just follow the guidelines as directed. No more dieing ever again for me. The second you tell me a food is off limits, that is when I crave it most. Give it another try and follow the techniques as written. It DOES work. Good luck!

Oh, I forgot to answer your question. I have not yet tried the tapping routine because I haven't needed to, but I did practice while watching the series and find it does work.  I listen to the CD that came with the book every morning and at night I listen to his nightime trance CD while going to sleep. You can google and find the overnight trance to download.  The other CD comes with the book.

Hey there, I have been fallowing Paul's system since March when it aired on tlc. I was 255 when I started. I did buy the book w/ cd and I find them both very great tools. I a lot used the tapping technique a lot. It took a while for it to work, but I kept to it and I really don't have to tap hardly at all. I last weighed myself about 2 weeks ago and I was at 201lbs.

Coming here to the community is so helpful. Everyone has so much support and advise. I hope you try again. Not every one loses fast, keep telling your self this isn't a diet it's a life change. Simply using just the 4 golden rules will get you on your way.

Best wishes and hope to see you around

Jamie

Yes, it does work. I started when the shows first aired on tlc in March. I do not weigh myself, but I have lost three sizes, so obviously, it is working. I'm 59 years old, and have been dieting off and on for years, but could never stick to it. This is the way I am eating for the rest of my life, and I am happy to be able to say that. It is not a hardship at all, in fact, it is actually fun. I do not tap, simply because I haven't had to , but be assured if I needed to, I would. Those who use this technique swear by it. I listen to the nighttime hypnosis session each night. I started out listening to the CD that comes with the book, but have switched to the nighttime download because it is so soothing and relaxing. Paul McKenna has changed -- maybe even saved -- my life. I cannot thank him enough for bringing this to the US. I'm glad to hear you plan to stay with us. I think you will begin seeing positive results soon, but remember that even if it takes awhile to get into gear, this will eventually work if you give it time. And it beats dieting by a country mile!

I am new to this so I could use some help.  I watched the TLC shows, but did not get started.  It all seems too good to be true, but it also feels "right" to just eat when you are hungry and stop when you're full.  It makes sense.  Can anyone advise me on what to buy:  CD's, books, DVD's?  What is helpful?

The CD with the book is great to use. I listen to the CD in the mornings before beginning my day and any time during the day if I feel I need the motivation.

Here is a link to his overnight success program. I downloaded it onto my laptop and I listen to it at night with earphones to put me to sleep:

With this download and the CD that came with the book I feel it is working well for me. I lost 10 lbs. in the first 2 weeks. I'm on week 3, but won't weigh myself for another week and a half (2 week intervals is the plan).
